Initial ADR training is for drivers who are new to ADR or whose card has expired.

Refresher ADR training is for drivers with a valid ADR card:

  • If you take refresher training more than 12 months before expiry, the new card will last 5 years from the date you pass.
  • You must pass refresher exams at least 6 weeks before your card expires.

ADR awareness training is for drivers carrying loads below the ADR threshold, as well as non-driving staff such as loaders, packers, forklift operators, warehouse workers, supervisors, managers, and administrative personnel engaged in planning or documentation.
