How long is the course?

The course runs for 10 days, spread throughout the month. This allows time to review material, prepare questions, and build confidence before the exams.

When are the exams?

There are two exams on the same day – a 2-hour multiple-choice paper and a 2.25-hour case study paper. Exam dates are aligned with the official CILT schedule and listed above. Results are issued 6 weeks from the exam date.

What if I fail an exam?

If you don’t pass one or both exams, you can retake them on a future CILT exam date. Our course materials remain a valuable resource to support your preparation.

How do the exams run online?

The exams are taken online using CILT’s approved remote invigilation system. You’ll sit the exams at home on a laptop, with live online supervision to ensure exam integrity. Are system checks required for both exam papers?

Yes. A system check is required before sitting both the multiple-choice exam and the case study exam to ensure your laptop, webcam, microphone, and internet connection meet the requirements.

What am I allowed to take into the exams?

Paper 1 (Multiple Choice): This is a closed-book exam. No notes, phones, headphones, or additional materials are allowed.

Paper 2 (Case Study): You may use your approved learning materials. No phones or headphones are permitted.

Can I take the exam on a tablet or phone?

No. The exams must be taken on a laptop or desktop computer that meets CILT’s technical requirements. Tablets and mobile phones are not supported.
